City of Virginia Beach Owned Facilities.
The City of Virginia Beach operates
boat ramps and marinas at OWLS CREEK, MUNDEN POINT &
LYNNHAVEN INLET. Owl Creek boat ramp is located on
General Booth Boulevard south of the Rudee Inlet bridge,
and provides free launching and access to the ocean.
Munden Point Park boat ramp is located off Princess Anne
Road, providing access to the Intracoastal Waterway. A
fee is charged and hours of operation are limited.
Munden Point Boat Ramp is open to boaters for launching
at 5:30am seven days a week during the warmer months of
the year. There is a $2 launch fee. All boat trailers
must be removed from park premises by sunset.
 Lynnhaven
Boat Ramp & Beach Facility the newest boat ramp in
Virginia Beach features 4 concrete boat launch lanes
with associated temporary mooring areas, canoe/kayak
launch area, car with boat trailer parking spaces,
lighting, restrooms with shower and foot rinse areas,
changing areas, car parking for beach access, an
information kiosk, vending machines and a walkway (under
the Lesner Bridge) to the Ocean Park Beach Area on the
Chesapeake Bay. Boat launch fees are: $6 for those with
a Virginia Saltwater Fishing license $10 for those
without a Virginia Saltwater Fishing license. Open 7
days a week. The ramp is open 24 hours a day.
Lynnhaven Municipal Marina is located at 3211 Lynnhaven
Dr, off of Shore Dr at the east end of the Lesner
Bridge, transient dockage for boaters is provided on a
daily or weekly basis. Pump out service is also
available. There are no facilities for public launching
of private boats. Food, bait and tackle are available at
the concession operation. The marina is open everyday of
the year, except for Christmas Day. In addition, there
are 50 slips for rental at the Lynnhaven Municipal
Marina for recreational and commercial use. Open 7 days
a week 8:30am - 5:00pm.
