HATTERAS REPORT – BLUEFIN!

Giant Bluefin Like This Are Starting To Show Up Off Hatteras

Saturday and Sunday February 12-13, 2011 brought great weather and lots of hungry Bluefin!

There’s tons of bait holding in the area, the monster fish are moving in and the bite is on! Several “BIG” fish were caught over the weekend!

The action should concentrate around the North East Rocks off Hatteras. The fish should hang around about four to six weeks until the middle or end of March when they usually move north where the Oregon Inlet fleet gets their chance. The bluefin are rangeing in size from 100 to 300 pounds, with some larger fish due to mix in and provide great jigging and trolling action!

Fin Seeker, Big Easy, Big Tahuna, Native Son, Bite Me, Goodtimes and Marlin Mania got their keeper bluefin and released plenty more this weekend. Big Tahuna also had 19 nice blackfin.
